Exmouth has always been a very popular tourist destination and seaside town since Victorian times and today still maintains its popularity. Exmouth has come a long way since the 18th century when it was just a small fishing village, still has lots of boats but they are now more yacht's, motor cruisers or pleasure rides, but the harbour still remains a great place to be at sunset. The harbour is a great place to visit and is on the estuary of the river Exe, why not take a pleasure cruise along the coast, eastwards as far as Lyme Regis, and westwards to Torbay.

Why not take the ferry from Exmouth across the Exe. There is a ferry from Exmouth that takes you over to Dawlish, a real chocolate box town, it is also famous for its black swans.

If it's Sandy Beaches you require you will not be disappointed, Exmouth boasts two miles of sandy beaches, which are clean and safe and ideal for a relaxing walk, a family swim or just chilling on the beach.
